Xander Schauffele will be looking to show why is among the best golfers in the world right now by winning the
Zozo Championship.
What to know about Schauffele
The American star emerged victorious at the Tour Championship in 2017 and also won a gold medal at the men's golf event of the 2020 Olympic Games.
Schauffele has won two major championships, both in the same year, the 2024 PGA Championship and the 2024 Open Championship.

The 2016/17 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year took a break from professional golf after competing in the 2024 Tour Championship where he finished 13th last month.
Schauffele is currently placed second in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is second.
Why Schauffele is among the favourites
The San Diego-born golfer is the highest-ranked golfer among those who will compete in the 2024 Zozo Championship and this makes him a clear favourite to win the tournament.
Schauffele has already tasted success in Japan as he won an Olympic Gold medal at the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Kawagoe, Saitama.
With his maternal grandparents and other relatives living in Japan, the former California State University Long Beach student is keen to deliver a victory in front of his family.
A win would cap a magical 2024 in what will be his sixth Zozo Championship appearance where he holds two top-10s (T10/2019, T9/2022).
