Francesco Bagnaia will be keen to continue his dominance in the
Italian MotoGP by winning the race for the third time in a row.

Bagnaia was in top form at the most recent race on the 2024 MotoGP calendar which was the Catalan MotoGP on 26 May.
The Ducati Lenovo Team rider won the race which saw him collect 25 points from the event at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
MotoGP title ambitions
The reigning MotoGP world champion is placed second on the MotoGP Riders' standings having accumulated 116 points from six races.
Bagnaia is 39 points behind leader, Jorge Martin of Ducati Prima Pramac Racing ahead of the Italian MotoGP as the duo battle for the world championship.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2024 Italian MotoGP
The man nicknamed Pecco has hit form having secured three consecutive podium finishes including two victories at the Spanish MotoGP and Catalan MotoGP.
Having won the last two Italian MotoGP titles, Pecco is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello.
What did he say?
“Today’s win was a very important one, both for how things panned out yesterday and also for last year’s results at this track," Bagnaia said after winning the 2024 Catalan MotoGP.
"I tried to set the pace at the beginning and I thought it was the right one. As soon as Jorge (Martín) and Acosta got past me, I tried to stay with them, but I thought their pace was a bit too quick especially with regards to the tyre wear on the full-race distance.
"Then I saw that their pace got back to a rhythm that was similar to mine. Once I overtook Jorge, I noticed I had already pulled a 0.4secs margin on him in one lap, so the only thing I had to do was to make it to the finish line," he added.
"I rode the final lap almost with the feet on the ground, to avoid surprises. Now the Mugello awaits, and I hope fans will turn up at the circuit as many as they did here.”
