Valspar Championship, which is the 13th event on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, will be played in Palm Harbor, Florida, USA, between 20 and 23 March.
What to know about the tournament
The tournament was founded in 2000 as the Tampa Bay Classic, and since 2007, it has been played in March, as the Players Championship moved six weeks later, to mid-May.
In September 2013, Valspar Corporation signed a four-year deal to become the title sponsor of the event, named the Valspar Championship and the deal has been extended several times over the years.

In February 2025, The PGA Tour, Copperhead Charities and The Sherwin-Williams Company have announced that the Valspar brand, which has sponsored the Valspar Championship since 2014, will continue its commitment to the Tampa Bay area tournament through 2030.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Valspar Caddie Hat Program rewards PGA Tour caddies who wear Valspar-branded hats throughout the season, with various perks and exclusive caddie appreciation events at PGA TOUR tournaments.

This year's Valspar Championship field is headlined by defending champion Peter Malnati and the likes of Xander Schauffele, Sam Burns, Justin Thomas, Sepp Straka and Tommy Fleetwood.
Karl Vilips, Joe Highsmith, Thomas Detry and Brian Campbell, who have already won a tournament in the 2025 PGA Tour season, will also be part of the 156-player field.
What Is At Stake
The Valspar Championship will see golfers compete for a share of the $8,7 million purse, with the 2025 champion receiving a cheque of $1,72 million.
The winner of this event will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points, a yet-to-be-determined amount of OWGR points, and a trophy that is shaped like a paintbrush stroke.
