The 2024 Austrian Grand Prix is set to take place in a small city called Spielberg, which has a population of over 5,000 inhabitants, on 30 June.
What to know about the Austrian Grand Prix
The motor racing event was first held in 1963 then in 1964, 1970-1987, 1997-2003, and then returned to the Formula One calendar in 2014.
The Austrian Grand Prix has been held at two different locations in southeastern Austria, being originally held in Zeltweg, about 70 km (43 mi) west of Graz.
Since 1969 the Austrian Grand Prix has taken place in neighbouring Spielberg, with the two venues being within approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) of each other.

The Spanish Grand Prix, which was the 10th round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship, was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing on 23 June.
Lando Norris of McLaren finished second, while Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton secured a third-place finish at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Standings
Verstappen is sitting at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings as the reigning champion looks to retain the Formula One world title.
Norris, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, and Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr are placed second, third, and fourth respectively in the battle for the championship.
Favourites
All eyes will be on Verstappen as he looks to successfully defend the Austrian Grand Prix title, but he will face stiff competition from the likes of Leclerc, Sainz Jr, and Norris.
Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who secured a podium finish at the Spanish Grand Prix, will be confident of winning the Austrian Grand Prix for the second time.

"It’s been a really great weekend. It’s been a while since I’ve been on the podium so I’m very happy," Hamilton said after the Spanish Grand Prix.
"We’re not quite there yet but we’ve taken a huge step in recent races. We didn’t quite have the pace to fight with the two guys ahead of us.
"If we can deliver more consistently like this, then we will be in a strong position. We are on our way to catching those guys and that is fantastic."
