Gresini Racing's Marc Marquez admits he doesn't know how the change in tyre construction will affect his performance in the
Aragon Grand Prix on Sunday, September 1.
The Spaniard did remarkably well to secure P4 in the Austrian Grand Prix after getting off to a poor start due to a failure in engaging his front start device on the grid which pushed him back to 14th at the turn.

Marquez was quicker than Ducati Lenovo Team's Enea Bastianini - who finished third - once he got clear of the pack and came close to the pace of race winner Francesco Bagnaia and second-placed finisher Jorge Martin.
However, Michelin brought rear tyres with a harder construction to the Red Bull Ring to combat the repetitive hard accelerations on the track which leads to extreme loads and increased temperatures on the tyre.

The 31-year-old, who sits fourth in the rider's standings courtesy of four podium finishes this year, remains cautious about reproducing the same speeds on a standard tyre in Alcaniz.
"The [tyre] casing changes again to Aragon to a standard one," Marquez told TNT Sports. "We will see if I feel really good on the bike for that special casing for Austria, or [also] with the [standard 2024] casing - we will understand [in Aragon].
"It's true that, as I said in Sachsenring and as I said in Austin, Aragon is a circuit that I like. Doing a perfect weekend, then maybe we will have some chance to fight with the top guys.
"But we know that they are super-fast, and even with perfect conditions and a perfect performance it will be difficult to fight with them."
2024 Austrian Grand Prix results:
Winner: Francesco Bagnaia - Ducati Lenovo Team
Second Place: Jorge Martin - Prima Pramac Racing
Third Place: Enea Bastianini - Ducati Lenovo Team
