The
2023 Australian MotoGP is set to be held on an Australian island called Phillip Island on October 22.
What to know about the Australian MotoGP
The event was established in 1989 and from 1997 to the present day, it is run at the scenic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit south-southeast of Melbourne, Victoria.
Prior to 1997, the race was held at a number of different venues namely, Eastern Creek west of Sydney New South Wales, and Bathurst in central western New South Wales.
The race was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, both due to the COVID-19 pandemic. and the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is contracted to host the event until 2026.

The Indonesian MotoGP which was the 15th round of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship season took place on 15 October.
The race was won by Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia while Maverick Vinales of Aprilia and Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo finished second and third respectively.
Standings
Bagnaia remains at at the top of riders' standings followed by his Ducati teammates Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi, and KTM rider Brad Binder respectively.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati, who have won the 2023 title, are sitting at the top - followed by KTM and Aprilia respectively.

"We must be happy," Vinales said after finishing second at the 2023 Indonesian MotoGP.
"We made a really good comeback after two races in which we were unable to put in a good performance. So basically the weekend I felt fantastic with the bike.
"There are a few things to improve to try to get closer to Ducati guys, because Saturday I had a tyre drop, but also on Sunday I saw they had a little bit more at the end."
