Lando Norris heads into the
Mexican Grand Prix on Sunday, October 29, hoping to build on the recent progress made by McLaren.
The Brit has risen to sixth in the Drivers' Championship standings after his P2 at the United States Grand Prix, which was his sixth podium in the last nine races.
It is in stark contrast to earlier in the season when Norris finished outside the points in the opening nine rounds, with his highest placing a P4 in Austrian Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old benefited from the qualification of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton in Austin, Texas after initially finishing third to become the first McLaren driver since Jenson Button in 2011 to record four consecutive podiums.
However, Norris is closing in on an unwanted record as he sits just one behind Nick Heidfeld for the most podiums without a win, which stands at 12 now.
He is delighted with the strides made by McLaren in 2023, but acknowledges they are still well off the pace of Red Bull Racing.

"I'm very pleased. If before the weekend you said we had the result we have had... I wouldn't have not believed it, but we didn't expect it in a way," Norris said.
"I'm very happy. From leading a race to Lap 25 or 30 almost, you are always like, 'could I have done a little bit more'. But when you see how much I struggled compared to Lewis, how many let's say setbacks Lewis had - two very bad pit stops, I had two very good pit stops, I didn't have to go through the field.
"I could control it and execute a perfect race and we still didn't have the pace, so not a surprise. I think we have known it all weekend that we had not quite what we wanted to compete against them.
"We expected it. We are still very happy with the progress we have made from where we were at the beginning of the season. Even for the team, they are happy but there is still something inside like 'oh we have missed out'."
2023 United States Grand Prix results:
Winner: Max Verstappen - Red Bull Racing
Second Place: Lando Norris - McLaren
Third Place: Carlos Sainz Jr. - Ferrari
