Cameron Young will chase a first PGA Tour tournament victory when he tees up at the RSM Classic, set for the Sea Island Golf Club in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, United States from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 November 2023.
What to know about Cameron Young
The 26-year-old American has four career victories: the 2021 AdventHealth Championship and 2021 Evans Scholars Invitational (on the Korn Ferry Tour), as well as the 2017 Lenox Advisors New York State Open and 2018 Westchester Open (both as an amateur).
He was also the PGA Tour’s Rookie of the Season for 2021-22, receiving an overwhelming 94 percent of the vote.

Young was last in PGA Tour action in the World Wide Technology Championship earlier this month, shooting a 275 (-13) to end tied for 54th.
He has four top 10 finishes in the PGA Tour in 2023, and is listed 17th on the Official World Golf Ranking as of this past weekend.

The New York native has been very consistent through 2022-23 and is surely set to claim a first PGA Tour title sooner rather than later – perhaps the RSM Classic will be the tournament that opens the floodgates for Young.

Young admits that missing the Ryder Cup was a blow, but plans to make sure that he is a definite pick for the next edition:
“But I think I walk away from it thinking, maybe I feel like I should have made the team but it wasn’t up to me,” explained Young. “And two years from now, if I put myself in a position where they don’t have a choice, that’d be the better way to do it.”
