Tony Finau will be confident of making it two wins in a row in the 2022/23
PGA Tour season by winning the RSM Classic.
The American star, who is the favourite to win this tournament, is coming off a victory at the Cadence Bank Houston Open which he clinched last weekend.
Staked to a four-shot lead Sunday in the Houston Open, Finau stretched it to eight shots on the back nine and sailed to his third PGA Tour victory of the year.
Prior to that, the 33-year-old won the 3M Open and the Rocket Mortgage Classic in successive weeks; his third and fourth victories on PGA Tour in July this year.
Trailing by five shots, Finau's steady 4-under-par 67 overcame runaway leader Scott Piercy's disastrous, unraveling back-nine 41 and final-round 76 at the 3M Open.
Finau then won the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic, shooting a tournament-record 26-under 262, capped with a 5-under 67 on Sunday.
The man nicknamed Big Tone is now a five-time winner on the PGA Tour and he will be looking to clinch his sixth title by lifting the RSM Classic for the first time.

"I write down goals before every season and I was able to peek at them overnight," Finau said after winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
"And one of them was to be a multiple (tournament) winner this season. Another was to win the FedEx Cup, and I put myself in position to do that.
"A win can change your life, so I guess when you look at mine, two weeks, back-to-back weeks, have now changed my life, and it's a great feeling."
Robert Streb is the most decorated golfer in the history of the RSM Classic with two titles since the tournament's formation in 2010.
