2019-20 UEFA Europa League
Group Stage, Matchday 5
Thursday 28 November 2019
Malmo FF and Dynamo Kiev will meet for a key UEFA Europa League Group B clash at The Stadion in Malmo on Thursday 28 November 2019, kick-off at 22:00 CAT. The match is one of 24 across the continent in Matchday 5 of the second-tier UEFA competition.
Malmo come into the match on the back of a 0-0 draw away to Swiss side Lugano in St Gallen earlier this month, a result which left them in third place on the log on five points – one behind co-leaders Copenhagen of Denmark and their Thursday opponents. A win over Dynamo would secure a place in the knockout phase of the competition.
“We have an incredible opportunity that no other Swedish team has, to present ourselves as a team and as individuals in Europe. We are in a position in the group where we can move on,” said coach Uwe Rosler, who will be banking on home advantage for the clash.

Dynamo’s last outing in Group B saw them draw 1-1 away to Copenhagen, with Benjamin Verbic scoring a crucial equalising goal. The Ukrainians are second in the group (level with the Danish side on six points) and are also in a position where a win would secure qualification.
Manager Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko has called on his side to produce their best form and claim a positive result to push them further on in their Europa League adventure.
In head-to-head terms, Malmo and Dynamo have met in just one previous match, their opening Group B fixture back in September which ended in a 1-0 home win for the Ukrainian team, thanks to a late strike from Vitaliy Buyalskiy.
The other Group B match on Thursday night sees Lugano host Copenhagen at Kybun Park, kick-off at 22:00.
