The 2018 MotoGP season wraps up with Round 19 at the Circuit de Valencia in Spain on Sunday, 18 November 2018.

The final race of the campaign will also serve as the farewell to Honda pilot Dani Pedrosa, who will be retiring from the world championship.

The 33-year-old Spaniard has a great record at Circuit de Valencia, having claimed four MotoGP wins (including the 2017 race) – a record which is matches only by compatriot Jorge Lorenzo.

Yet the favourite for the race victory will be Marc Marquez. Not only did the Honda rider wrap up his fifth MotoGP world championship earlier this year, he also triumphed at the last race in Malaysia.

With the riders’, manufacturers’ and teams’ championships all effectively settled, one of the points of interest will be which of the Yamaha works pilots claims third in the standings behind Marquez and Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso.

Valentino Rossi currently occupies third place with 195 points, but his teammate Maverick Vinales (who has returned to form in the last two races) is just two points behind the legendary Italian.
