Real Sociedad face a must-win clash to keep their European ambitions alive when they face hosts Levante at Estadio Camilo Cano on Monday 6 July 2020, kick-off at 19:30 CAT. The match is one of 10 spread across 3-6 July as part of
La Liga’s Round 34 action.
Levante come into the clash on the back of a trip to Real Valladolid on Wednesday night. The Granotas were in fine form in their last match at home, thumping Real Betis 4-2 to boost their hopes of a top-10 finish.
“My team has shown commitment and dedication,” said manager Paco Lopez. “We have had a difficult schedule and battled against the heat, but many teams can say the same. We need to stay focused and continue playing like we showed against Betis, with organisation and balance.”

Sociedad will have a day’s less rest compared to Levante, having been in action on Thursday night at home to Espanyol. Txuri-urdinak’s form has fallen off a cliff since the restart and has left them battling just to finish in the top seven or eight – before the season was suspended, they looked very likely to end in the Champions League places.
“All the details are turning against us. I have nothing to say and much to praise the team. In the face of adversity it has continued to believe,” said manager Imanol Alguacil.
"I have to work, do self-criticism and try to improve... And let luck change, that in such even matches it marks a lot."
In head-to-head stats, Levante and Sociedad have met in 25 matches across all competitions. The Granotas have claimed nine wins compared to seven for Txuri-urdinak, while nine games have been drawn.
When the teams met in La Liga earlier this season, Levante claimed a surprise 2-1 win at San Sebastian in October 2019 thanks to goals from Enis Bardhi and Borja Mayoral.
