The
2022 Valspar Championship is set to be played at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Florida, USA between 17 and 20 March.
The tournament was founded in 2000 as the Tampa Bay Classic, and it is now sponsored by Valspar Corporation - an American manufacturer of paint and coatings.
It has been hailed as one of the PGA Tour’s fastest-growing events since Valspar assumed sponsorship in 2014. The 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Sam Burns is the defending champion having won the Valspar Championship trophy last year after he shot a final-round 68 to win by three strokes.
The 2022 tournament is headlined by the likes of Burns, Paul Casey, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson and more.

There will be 144 players on the field and the event is set to be played out over four days, with this event marking the 21st tournament of the 2021-22 PGA Tour schedule.
Former winners of the Valspar Championship, Adam Hadwin, Charl Schwartzel, Kevin Streelman and Luke Donald will also be part of the field.

“This is just the start of what we anticipate will be a truly outstanding field,” Valspar Championship's tournament director Tracy West ahead said ahead of this year's event.
“Many favourites of our Copperhead fans, including other past champions, should be committing in the weeks ahead.
"In addition, we are hopeful that some relatively new faces will also be joining us.”
Casey, K.J Choi and Retief Goosen are the most successful golfers in the history of the Valspar Championship having won the tournament a record twice.
