2019/20 Premier League
Round 27
22-24 February 2020
Leicester City will take aim at outgoing champions Manchester City when the teams meet at the King Power Stadium on Saturday 22 February 2020, kick-off at 19:30. The match is one of 10 spread from 22 to 24 February for the 27
h round of the
2019/20 Premier League season.
Leicester come into the game on the back of a goalless stalemate away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 14, a result which means the Foxes have gone three matches without a win across all competitions.
“[It’s] probably a good point in the circumstances, being down to 10 men and they put the pressure on us. It was a difficult game,” said defender Jonny Evans. “They’re a good team here and I think you see their league position too, it’s quite strong in the league. [We’re] pleased probably overall with the point in the end.”

City saw their match during the winter break against West Ham United cancelled due to inclement weather, though they will have played against the Hammers on February 19 in the lead-up to this clash with Leicester.
The major news surrounding the Citizens is the two-season ban on European club football handed to them by UEFA last week, with the club cited for breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. This had led to major speculation as to the future of players and manager Pep Guardiola, who is being tipped to leave for Juventus at the end of the season.
In head-to-head stats, Leicester and Man City have met in 119 previous matches. The Citizens have claimed 60 wins compared to 30 for the Foxes, while 29 games have been drawn.
When the teams met in the Premier League earlier this season, at the Etihad Stadium in December 2019, Man City claimed a 3-1 home win thanks to goals from Riyad Mahez, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus.
