Ducati's Johann Zarco, who is now placed fifth on the riders' standings with 75 points - six behind fourth-placed Bagnaia, was happy to have finished fourth at the Italian MotoGP.
“In the first laps, it's not easy. Everyone is going to get an opportunity and some are better at it than others," Zarco said.
"But I was still there and I'm also satisfied with the pace of the race which allowed me to get back in the front group. Aleix (Espargaro) and Fabio (Quartararo) started to open a gap and behind I blocked (Marco) Bezzecchi.
"I spent a lot of energy until the last lap, where I was able to surprise him. The fourth position is still beautiful."
Ducati are placed at the top of the Manufacturers' Championship standings and they are followed by Yamaha and Aprilia respectively.
