Mercedes have won three of the four races in Baku, including the most recent in 2019 but Wolff knows it won't be plain sailing for his team following a disastrous day out in Monaco two weeks ago.
Defending champion Lewis Hamilton finished seventh while teammate Valtteri Bottas - who won in Baku in 2019 - had to retire after a wheel could not be removed in a pitstop.
"We expect it (Baku) to be another tricky one for us, not particularly suited to the characteristics and traits of the W12 (car)," said Wolff.
"Red Bull will be strong again, while both Ferrari and McLaren have made great progress recently."

Max Verstappen took first place in Monaco to jump to the top of the Drivers' Championship standings after five rounds of racing.
There was no race in Baku last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
