South Africa are still without a victory at the ongoing
2019 Cricket World Cup taking place in England and Wales.
The Proteas have recorded three defeats against England, Bangladesh and India in their first three matches at the global tournament.
India defeated South Africa by six wickets in their most recent match which took place in Southampton, England on Wednesday, June 5.
South Africa won the toss and their captain Faf du Plessis opted to bat first at the Rose Bowl.
However, the decision backfired as the team scored just 227 runs and they lost the match to the Men in Blue.
The Proteas were scheduled to face West Indias in their fourth match in Britain on Monday.
The match ended in a 'no result' with South Africa having lost the toss and being asked to bat, and they were reduced to 29/2 after 7.3 overs before the drizzle forced the players off the field.
Both teams were awarded one point for the no-result and the Proteas will look to secure their first win when they take on Afghanistan at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, June 15.
