South Africa are looking to record their second victory at the ongoing
2019 Cricket World Cup taking place in England and Wales.
The Proteas' hopes of reaching the semi-finals were ended after they lost to Pakistan, who won by 49 runs at Lord's in London, England on Sunday.
Rassie van der Dussen (36 off 47) and David Miller (31 off 37) tried their best for South Africa, but they were both dismissed by Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi respectively.
The defeat left the Proteas placed ninth on the standings having accumulated three points from seven matches.
South Africa are scheduled to take on Sri Lanka at the Riverside Ground Chester-le-Street in England on Friday.
Sri Lanka are oozing with confidence after they won by 20 runs against England in their last match which was played in Leeds on Friday.
The Crusaders are placed seventh on the standings - three points above South Africa, but the former have a game in hand.
Dimuth Karunaratn, the Sri Lanka captain and batsman, will be looking to lead his troops to victory against Proteas.
World class fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will be eager to inspire South Africa to victory over the Crusaders.
