The winner between Khachanov and Shapovalov will take on either Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic or Márton Fucsovics in the Wimbledon semi-finals.
Shapovalov knows what to expect from Khachanov after he blasted into the quarter-finals on Monday with a straight-sets victory over higher-seeded Bautista Agut.
“I played some really high-level tennis today. I played really, really flawless and was super happy with myself," Shapovalov said.
“He [Khachanov]’s definitely very aggressive. He likes to control the play. It’s actually pretty similar to me.
"Obviously, we’re two big-hitting players. I think it’s going to be a lot of shot-making. It’s going to be a pretty, like, aggressive game in that match.”
