England will take on Australia in the first test match of the 2019 Ashes Series at the Edgbaston in Birmingham, England between 1 and 5 August.
This will be England's first match since they clinched their maiden
Cricket World Cup title in July 2019.
Batsman Joe Root, who is an occasional off-spinner, is set to lead England in the five-match Ashes series against Australia.
Barbadian-born English bowling all-rounder Jofra Archer has been named in the Test squad for the first time.
Experienced all-rounder Ben Stokes has been reappointed test vice-captain as England target their 107th test win in Ashes history.
Meanwhile, Australia will be looking bounce back after failing to defend their Cricket World Cup title as they were knocked out by England in the semi-finals.
Wicket-keeper batsman Tim Paine remains Australia's captain in test cricket and he will be looking to ensure that they retain the Ashes title.
