2024 Farmers Insurance Open will take place at the Torrey Pines
Golf Courses in San Diego, California, USA between 24 and 27 January.
What to know about the tournament
This event was established in 1958 as the San Diego and it is currently known as the Farmers Insurance Open due to sponsorship reasons.
The event began its present relationship with Torrey Pines Golf Course, a 36-hole public facility owned by the City of San Diego, in 1968.
In the current tournament set-up, players split the first 36 holes between the North and South Courses, then play the final 36 holes on the South Course.

The Farmers Insurance Open's organisers have announced that the 2024 event will showcase 156 professional golfers.
They will be paired for each of the first two days to play a round on both the North Course and the South Course at Torrey Pines.
The weekend field will then consolidate to the South Course for the last two rounds.
2024 Farmers Insurance Open Favourites
The 2024 Farmers Insurance Open will be headlined by Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa as well as the defending champion Max Homa.
Brandt Snedeker, Luke List, Jason Day, Justin Rose, Scott Stallings and Nick Watney are the former Farmers Insurance Open champions who will be part of the field.
The golfer who won the most recent tournament (2024 American Express) in the 2024 PGA Tour schedule, Nick Dunlap, will also compete in San Diego.
What Is At Stake
The 2024 Farmers Insurance Open boasts of a $9 million purse and the winner of this event will earn their share of $1,62 million.
The winner of the tournament earns 500 FedEx Cup points and 60 Official World Golf Ranking points, with the points available based on field strength.
“It’s not like this is their (Farmers Insurance) last year with us and everybody’s wondering what’s going on,” said Marty Gorsich, the Farmers Insurance Open CEO.
“Am I bullish on the state of our game going forward? I am. Am I bullish on the state of the city and Torrey Pines and where we’re going? Yeah.
"If something goes a certain way, I feel like a) we’ve got a few years and b) let’s see where it is.”
