Jon Rahm will be looking to redeem himself by becoming the second Spaniard to win the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions after Sergio Garcia in 2002.
The Spanish star came close to winning last year's Sentry Tournament of Champions as he finished second behind Australia's Cameron Smith who won by one stroke.
However, Rahm did taste some success in 2022 when he clinched the inaugural Mexico Open at Vidanta and it was his seventh win on the PGA Tour.
Over the course of 2022, Rahm earned eight top-10 finishes, including a runner-up at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and a T3 at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Nicknamed Rahmbo, the Barrika-born golfer will make his sixth start on Maui where he has five top-10 finishes in as many appearances at The Plantation Course at Kapalua.
Rahmbo, who is placed fifth on the Official World Golf Rankings, will boost his hopes of reclaiming the World number one spot by winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
The 28-year-old will be oozing with confidence having clinched last month's DP World Tour Championship as he won by two shots ahead of Tyrrell Hatton and Alex Norén.

“I came this time with the mentality that, well, nobody beat me in the last two years, so they are not going to beat me again,” Rahm said after winning the DP World Tour Championship.
“I like this course and this course likes me. I hope this is the third of many more. Hopefully, people can stop telling me that this was a bad year
“Three wins worldwide. Three wins on three different continents. Yeah, there wasn’t a major championship, but it was still a really, really good season.”
Jack Nicklaus is the most decorated golfer in the history of the Sentry Tournament of Champions with four titles since the tournament's formation in 1953.
