The Memphis Grizzlies will look to silence the Utah Jazz when the teams meet for an NBA Regular Season game at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee on the morning of Saturday 29 January 2022. Tip-off is at 03:00.
The Grizzlies have climbed up the Western Conference log and find themselves scrapping with the likes of the Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns in the top four. This past weekend saw them defeat the Denver Nuggets 122-118, with 38 points from Ja Morant.

Morant set a career-high with 23 points in the first half and finished 15 of 26 from the field. "I was able to get to my spots on the floor, which I excel at," Morant said. "And once I get to my normal spots, it's pretty much buckets."
The Jazz, after being the impressive pace-setters in the West earlier in the season, have fallen off form a little, but remain very likely to finish in the top four and secure a Playoff place with relative ease. This past weekend they snapped a three-game home losing streak by bearing the Detroit Pistons 111-101.

"Winning helps cure a lot of things," Mike Conley, who scored 19 points, said. "It felt like we hadn't won in forever with the way we had been playing and how we've been feeling."
Rudy Gobert, who scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked four shots, said: "I thought we raised our level throughout the game. Our communication was good and we just competed."
In head-to-head stats, the Grizzlies and the Jazz have met in 96 Regular Season games since 1995-96, with Utah claiming 62 wins compared to 34 for Memphis. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in November 2021, with the Grizzlies winning 119-118 away thanks to 32 points from Ja Morant.
