Shane Lowry will be determined to redeem himself by winning the
2023 Honda Classic after narrowly missing out on last year's title.
What to know about Lowry
Irish star competes on both the PGA Tour and European Tour having turned professional in 2009 having achieved a career high of sixth in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
Lowry's notable achievements include winning the 2019 Open Championship, the Irish Open as an amateur in 2009, and the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
The 35-year-old has won six professional tournaments including two PGA Tour events and he will be hoping to add the Honda Classic title to his trophy cabinet.

Lowry achieved a top 15 finish at the recent 2023 Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades in California, USA.
The 2022 BMW PGA Championship winner finished 14th at the Genesis Invitational as his 2021 Ryder Cup teammate Jon Rahm won the tournament.
Why is Lowry one of the favourites
Lowry will be one of the top golfers at the 2023 Honda Classic as he is ranked 20th on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).
The Athlone Institute of Technology student will be returning to PGA National Resort and Spa where he finished second behind champion Sepp Straka.
Straka birdied the final hole to finish one shot ahead of Lowry who will be eager to go one step further and win this year's tournament.

“Yeah, it's hard to take, to be honest. Feel like I've got the tournament stolen from me today. You know, he's gone 3 under the last five on this course," Lowry said after last year's Honda Classic.
"I played the golf perfectly to win the tournament, and that's this game sometimes and that's this level,” Lowry said, adding that the rain came at the worst possible time for him. [The last hole was – that was as bad a break as I've ever got.
"You know, especially when you're standing on the tee and you see him over that left bunker [off the tee], which I would've been able to do if there was no rain, because I need a drive and a 4- or 5-iron. Probably would've given myself a better chance with a 4.”
