Dodgers, Rays to battle for World Series title

Los Angeles Dodgers will be action against Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series between 23 and 28 October.
 
This will be the 116th edition of the World Series and it will be a best-of-seven playoff between the Dodgers and the Rays.
 
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all games will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, United States of America (USA).

This makes it the first World Series to be played at a neutral site, as well as the first since 1944 to be held at only one ballpark.
 
This will also be just the fourth time in the Wild Card Era when both teams with the best record in each league will face each other in the World Series.
 
The Dodgers qualified for the World Series after defeating Atlanta Braves 4-3 in the National League Championship Series tie.

They are hoping to clinch their seventh World Series title this year having won the Commissioner's Trophy six times in 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981 and 1988.
 
While the Rays secured their place in the World Series after defeating Houston Astros 4-3 in the American League Championship Series tie.

They have never won the World Series and they are determined to win clinch the Commissioner's Trophy for the first time this year.
 
Kevin Cash, the Rays manager, is banking on 36-year-old pitcher Charlie Morton's experience as they take on a much-fancied Dodgers side. 
 
“We’re lucky to have Charlie Morton,” Cash said on MLB's official website. 
 
“For a group that doesn’t have a wealth of experience in these roles, Charlie does. He’s been there, done that and lined up really, really well for us. 
 
"Just so appreciative of Charlie Morton, what he brings to our club on the field, and definitely in the clubhouse.”
