Albon, who is now placed ninth on the Drivers' Championship standings, says his hard work has paid off after finishing third at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
“Of course, the podium is great, but it just feels like it’s been in the making, and all the work that’s been done behind the scenes," Albon said.
"It’s great to show it and great for my side of the garage. We’ve been working hard all year and the progress is there.
“But this... race was actually the one that I wanted: boring, nothing happening, just driving around and it was a nice podium today."
Mercedes, who have been crowned 2020 Formula One world constructors champions, are placed at the top of the standings with an unassailable lead of 533 points.
They are followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed McLaren, who have accumulated 274 points and 171 points with two races left.
