Quotes
“We are left with regrets, as we have many times this season. Perhaps the most difficult thing was to break the deadlock," Milan manager Stefano Pioli said after his side's raw against Salernitana.
"But we did that and were in control, then had some distractions that you cannot get away with at this level. We fought back and took the point, but this is certainly not the result we wanted.
“If these situations keep repeating, then mentality has to be taken into consideration. On the corner where we conceded the first goal, everyone was in position, so we needed more intensity, more focus on the marking," he added.
“We make these costly little mistakes, that take away points and confidence. The worrying thing is that many of the dropped points have been from our errors."
Head-to-Head
Sassuolo stunned Milan 5-2 in their last meeting in Serie A which was on 29 January 2023 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
As a result, the Black and Greens are undefeated in their last two matches in the league against Rossoneri having registered one draw and one win.
