The
2022 Alfred Dunhill Championship will take place in Malelane, South Africa between 8 and 11 December.
The tournament is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour having been established in 2000 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The event is sponsored by British company Alfred Dunhill Limited and it will be making its return after being cancelled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The current champion is Christiaan Bezuidenhout having won the 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship - winning the event for the first time in his career.
Bezuidenhout, Ernie Els, Charl Schwartzel, Pablo Larrazabal and Louis Oosthuizen will lead an incredible field of major winners and former champions of this tournament this week.
Branden Grace will also be part of the field and he is the only player to have won both the Alfred Dunhill Championship and its sister tournament the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
The tournament purse is €1.5 million and it is the fifth event on the 2023 European Tour schedule and 22nd tournament on the 2022-23 Sunshine Tour schedule.

Schwartzel is the most decorated golfer in the history of Alfred Dunhill Championship with four titles.
