2019/20 German Bundesliga
Round 28
Werder Bremen v Borussia Monchengladbach
Weser Stadion
Bremen, Germany
Tuesday, 26 May 2020
Werder Bremen will host Borussia Monchengladbach in a
German Bundesliga match at the Weser Stadion on May 26.
The River Islanders secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Freiburg away in their previous match which was played on May 23.
The win ended Bremen's seven-match winless run in the league having registered one draw and six defeats.
However, they are winless in their last 10 home matches in the Bundesliga having recorded two draws and eight defeats.
Meanwhile, Monchengladbach were beaten 3-1 by Bayer Leverkusen at home in their previous match which was played on May 23.
Prior to that, the Foals were undefeated in two league matches having registered two consecutive victories in the competition.
They are undefeated in their last four away matches in the Bundesliga having recorded three successive wins and one draw.
Florian Neuhaus, the Monchengladbach midfielder, has fired a warning to Bremen ahead of their clash as the Foals look to return to winning ways.
"Bremen are a good team and no one expected them to be where they are heading into the season," Neuhaus said.
"But that won't make it any easier for us, it won't matter at all. We will be fully concentrated on the game because we're going there to win, and to do that, we have to get back to playing our game."
The last meeting between Bremen and Monchengladbach in a league match was on 10 November 2019. The Foals secured a 3-1 victory over the River Islanders in a match that was played at Borussia Park.
