Toronto Blue Rays are scheduled to play two big matches against 
MLB giants New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox between 11 and 17 September.
 
The Blue Rays will have an opportunity to move up on the American League East standings where they have accumulated 22 wins and they are placed second.
 
They will face nine-time World Series champions Red Sox on Sunday, September 13, before taking on record 27-time World Series champions Yankees on Thursday, September 17.

Red Sox have struggled in the current campaign having recorded 14 wins, while Yankees have been inconsistent lately having registered 21 victories.
 
Josh Fleming recently pitched five innings of two-run ball to win his major league debut, and the AL East-leading Tampa Bay Rays beat the Blue Jays 5-4.

“Very happy for him,” Blue Rays manager Kevin Cash praised Fleming when speaking on Bay News.
 
 “The poise that he showed in the big inning when they had a bunch of guys on and only one guy came in, pretty impressive.”
 
Meanwhile, Miami Marlins are set to take on Philadelphia Phillies in a battle between National League East top teams on Friday, September 11.

The Marlins will be keen to boost their hopes of qualifying for the World Series having registered 17 wins and they are placed third on the standings.
 
Second-placed Phillies have a chance to move closer to the leaders Atlanta Braves, who have 23 wins which is four more than the former.
 
Lastly, San Diego Padres are expected to square off with their National League West rivals Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday, September 16.
 
Dodgers remain the most dominant team in the league having recorded an impressive 30 victories and they will be looking to continue their dominance.
 
While Padres have also done well by registering 25 wins thus far and they find themselves on the second spot.
