The South African men's Sevens team, better known as the Blitzboks, is the country's pride and joy.
For the last 20 years, they have dazzled and won respect in almost every corner of the globe. South Africa has been blessed with some of the fastest, toughest and most skilful Sevens players in the history of the game.
Betway took up the daunting task of choosing the seven best Sevens players to ever don the green and gold, and what we quickly realised is that this is no easy task.
Below are seven players who changed the game and one thing we are sure about is that every South African will come up with a different seven - such is the quality that has played for the Blitzboks:
Cecil Afrika
South Africa's top point scorer in Sevens rugby with 1462 points, Afrika is the seventh highest point scorer ever on the HSBC Sevens Series circuit and has also scored the ninth most tries.
Afrika was the first ever South African to win the Player of the Year award when he did so in the 2010-11 season in a campaign which he topped the scoring charts.
The 32-year-old is the engine midfield and makes those around him tick. But he is not limited to playmaking and is also an accomplished defender having made the 29th most tackles in Sevens history.
Seabelo Senatla
One of the fastest men to play the game, Senatla is also one of the most prolific try scorers ever. He is fifth on the top try scorer chart with an incredible 230 tries while he has also racked up 214 clean breaks (second most).
This is even more impressive if you consider that he has only played just over 200 matches and has often taken breaks from Sevens rugby to focus on the 15 man game.
Senatla was named the 2015-16 Player of the Year following a season in which he scored an incredible 66 tries.
Werner Kok
The 2014-15 Player of the Year is one of the fiercest competitors to ever play on the Sevens circuit.
Kok is devastating with ball in hand, but even more so without the ball and has established himself as arguably the best defender to play the game of Sevens.
With 584 tackles to his name, Kok has made the second most tackles in Sevens Series history.

Fabian Juries
The original hot stepper, Julies scored 179 tries during his illustrious Sevens career which puts him 10th on the all-time list, just behind Afrika.
Juries inspired many of the Blitzboks that have achieved huge success over the last few years and for long was the country's top try and points scorer.

Frankie Horne
Another that has inspired the current crop of Sevens players, Horne is one of the biggest units to play the game.
A general and enforcer of note, Horne set the tone on the field of play and will go down as one the best big men the Sevens Series circuit has ever seen. Horne also set a record of 50 consecutive Series appearances, becoming the first player to achieve the feat when he did so in 2013.
Mzwandile Stick
Stick captained the Blitzboks to their first World Sevens Series title in the 2008-09 season, slotting home a number of crucial kicks as South Africa loosened New Zealand's stranglehold on the competition.
He occupies 29th spot for the most successful conversions in Sevens history and his success in the format set the platform for a brilliant coaching career in 15 man rugby.
Branco du Preez
Du Preez has progressed to become one of the most consistent Sevens players to don the Blitzboks jersey.
The George-born pivot is already amongst the top 10 points scorer's in Sevens history, while he has also converted the ninth most tries - kicking several key conversions for South Africa over the years.
Notable mentions to the following eight players who could've easily been included in the list: Paul Treu , Phillip Snyman , Justin Geduld , Neil Powell, Rayno Benjamin, Rosko Speckman, Kyle Brown, Siviwe Soyizwapi and Chris Dry.
