South African sprinters
Anaso Jobodwana, Shaun Maswanganyi, and Clarence Munyai will be in action in the athletics' 200 meters at Japan's Olympic Stadium on August 3.
Jobodwana competed in the 200 meters at the 2012 London Olympic Games where he ran a new personal best of 20.27 seconds to reach the final.
The 28-year-old then competed in the 200 meters at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games where he finished fourth in his heat with a time of 20.53 seconds and he did not qualify for the semifinals.
His compatriots
Gift Leotlela, Shaun Maswanganyi, Clarence Munyai, and Akani Simbine will be in action in the athletics 4 x 100 relays on August 5.
Simbine, who finished fourth on August 1's Olympics 100 meters final, anchored South Africa to gold in the men's 4 × 100 meters relay at the 2021 World Relays.
"I'm just going to take the night to gather myself and just get it going after that," Simbine, who is the reigning Commonwealth Games 100 meters champion, said.
"We're looking forward to the relay, we have a good chance and I hope I can pull it together there,"

South African quartet Ranti
Dikgale, Zakithi Nene Thapelo Phora, and Wayde van Niekerk will take part in the 4 x 400 relays on August 6.

The team is led by the highly-rated Van Niekerk, who took bronze in the 4×400 meters relay at the 2013 Summer Universiade.
Meanwhile,
David Maree is set to take part in the men's omnium on August 5 at the Izu Velodrome with 20 cyclists from 20 nations are expected to compete.
The Kroonstad-born road and track cyclist competed at the 2020 African Track Championships where he won a gold medal in the omnium.
His countryman,
Jean Spies will participate in the men's keirin on August 7 having ridden in the men's scratch event at the 2016 UCI Track
Cycling World Championships.
While
Charlene du Preez, who is the African keirin champion and individual sprint champion, will be determined to go all the way when she competes in the women's sprint on August 4.
The 33-year-old won all three individual titles at the 2021 African Cycling Championships for the third consecutive year and she holds six African track records.
