Novak Djokovic will go in search of another US Open title when the 2019 edition is held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City from 26 August to 8 September.
Djokovic is a three-time champion at Flushing Meadows and claimed the title last year, defeating Juan Martin del Potro 6-3 7-6 6-3 in the final.
The Serbian’s other US Open titles arrived in 2011 and 2015, as this year he looks to join John McEnroe as a four-time champion of the tournament in the Open era.
Djokovic is looking to win a third Grand Slam of the year 2019, having already won the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year. At the French Open he reached the semifinals.
His main rivals for the title will be fellow veterans Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, while the likes of Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev will also look to make their mark at the final Grand Slam of the calendar year.
